The Nils-Paisley 12" (Siegfried records 1986)

This is the second 12" e.p by the Canadian Nils,called "Paisley".
So sad story about this awesome band.First heard them at the BYO compilation,with the anthem "Scratches and Needles".In a time were hardcore was the rule,The Nils came out with their melodic punk rock,depressing harmonies and emotional lyrics.Being from Canada,in their case,was a major drawback.There is also the very sad story behind this band that ended with Alex Soria's suicide.A highly original band,with awesome records,could have had the fate of Replacements or Husker Du,but sadly fate wasnt fair enough.Long live the Nils.
