Time for some more recent stuff.Hex Dispensers,from Austin,Texas,are a very stylish punk band,with members of Manikin and The Damned Town.They sound like they are really inspired by more melodic stuff like Wipers,but they also retain the power of 00s punk rock.Inspiring stuff.

The Rezillos-Can't stand the Rezillos (Sire 1978)

Some classic UK stuff was mandatory to be uploaded.Well,The Rezillos are the kind of the band that you will love if you like the early classic punk rock sound.More melodic than more bands,this is their first lp and it is a real gem.

Red Dons-Fake meets failure (Deranged 2010)

Second lp,more mature,more straightforward and less pompous but equally great as the first one.The Wipers influence is still there,but less visible.

Red Dons-Death to idealism (Deranged 2007)

This is the first Red Dons record.These guys used to be (well,the 4/5 of them) in one of the greatest 00's punk bands,The Observers.Red Dons have also connections with bands like Clorox Girls,Defect Defect,Autistic Youth.In this first record,they pretty much continue the Observers sound.Hard hitting but melodic,with excellent vocals and lyrics.If you dig bands like Wipers you should definitely check them out.

Off With Their Heads-From the Bottom (No Idea Records 2008)

This band is really great.Never mind the hype that has been around them the past 2 years,Off with their heads are a genuine punk rock band,fueled with much power.They remind me of a more street punk version of Dillinger Four.They sound so tight and familiar with each other,you might even think that these guys are friends since kindergarden. Awesome band with lots of releases.

Agent Orange-Living in Darkness (Posh boy 1981)

I was confused.Wipers,Mad parade,Channel 3?Thought though that it will be ok if the first record that i would post would be a "change my life record".Crap,don't know.It is one of the most beautiful records i have ever heard.
Agent Orange came from the sunny Orange County.In a time where all bands sounded unique,Agent Orange blended their super tight punk sound with surf music and their nearly (just right there) depressive lyrics made them loveable to punks,surf/garage guys and also to proto-goths.
This is their first record from 1981 on Posh Boy records.Listen to it carefully,it might change your life too.
