Davila 666-s/t (In The Red 2008)

Saw this band about 3 months ago, live.Awesome live band. But,their records are great too. This is their first one.Imagine if the garage punks met the Ramones, and sometimes had to chill with some early Jesus and mary chain stuff.Best band i have heard in a while,Puerto Rico my friends!

Wavves-Wavvves (Fat Possum 2009)

Fuck the fact that this band (well, their last record called "King of the beach") is a favorite among the boring hipsters, people that used to love Franz Ferdinand and that kind of crap. This lp,their second one,is a brilliant example of perfectly executed noise punk.Equal parts of dream pop,Shoegaze,lo-fi are mixed and the result is just extraordinary.
Sadly, the new lp is just a crappy attempt to make the mainstream easily accessible.Fuck this shit, first 2 records and especially this one are great.
